Cleaning Main Street Sidewalks

Public Works began removing gum from Main Street sidewalks the week of October 24, 2016. Crews have completed removing gum on the West-side of Main between Monroe and Jefferson. During the week of November 6th, crews will work on the colonnade from the Parking Garage to Riverside Drive, and on the East-side of Main from Monroe to Jefferson. The Dr. Gum units the City is using remove gum residue and paint graffiti from sidewalks, buildings, and light posts through a combination of steam (300° F) and a non-toxic biodegradable cleaning solution.
