The application deadline to bring an item before the Landmarks Board is typically 1 month in advance for projects and 3 weeks in advance for signs. Please contact the Community Development office for specific dates and deadlines and up to date submittal information.

The filing fee for an application to the Landmarks Board is as follows:

All submittals must include a complete application and 15 color copies. Checks should be made payable to the City of St. Charles.

Preservation Award Nomination Form

Each year the City of Saint Charles Landmarks Preservation Board honors projects and people that have made
outstanding contributions to the preservation of the City’s historic character. The 2022 awards will
recognize individuals and groups for projects completed between January-December, 2021. The awards
ceremony will be held in May 2022, during National Historic Preservation Month.
