The Public Works Department Building is located at 2871 West Elm Point Industrial Drive, Saint Charles, Missouri. The Public Works Building is open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday – Friday, except for holidays.
The Public Works Department is responsible for managing, operating and maintaining the infrastructure found in the City's right-of-way, including streets, alleys, parking lots, bridges, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, traffic signals, traffic signage, street striping, curb painting, sanitary sewer system, storm drain system, reclaimed and water systems for irrigation, street lights, street sweeping, graffiti removal, landscaping and tree trimming. The Public Works Department is also responsible for general management operation and care of City facilities as well as maintenance and repair of the City's vehicle fleet and equipment.
To manage these responsibilities the Department of Public Works operates two divisions:
Public Works Division
Comprised of Street, Fleet, Traffic, and Facilities.
Utilities Division
Comprised of Water, Sewer, Wastewater Contractor, and Stormwater Management.
