Surplus City Property
In Spring 2013, the City of St. Charles began using an online auction service to advertise the city's surplus items. The use of this service maximizes taxpayers' dollars by:
- Allowing assets to be sold as they become surplus
- Eliminating the cost associated with hosting an annual auction
- Increasing the probability of higher return
- Providing the city with exposure to buyers across the country
How It Works
The City will place surplus items for auction with GovDeals, a company that provides online auction services to government agencies.
Availability
Surplus items will be added to GovDeals as they become available.
Bidding
To bid on an item, you must register with GovDeals. There is no cost to register. Be sure to read and accept the bidders' agreement which states the terms and conditions.
Additional Information
