Public Hearings

The City of St. Charles offers all interested citizens the opportunity to attend public meetings and comment on public matters. If you wish to attend a public meeting and require an accommodation due to a disability, please contact the Office of the City Clerk to coordinate an accommodation at least two (2) business days in advance of the scheduled meeting at 636-949-3282 or 636-949-3289 (TTY – for the hearing impaired). 

All applications, maps and plans for the below items as received from the applicants are available in the offices of the Department of Community Development during regular business hours. Planning & Zoning Commission - January 30, 2023

Notice is hereby given that the City of St. Charles, Missouri will conduct a public hearing before the Planning and Zoning Commission on Monday, January 30, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. and before the City Council on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. on the fourth floor of City Hall, 200 North Second Street in the City of St. Charles, Missouri for the purpose of giving interested parties and citizens an opportunity to be heard on the following matters:

Board of Adjustment - February 6, 2023

In accordance with Chapter 400 (Zoning Code) of the Code of Ordinances of the City of St. Charles, Missouri, notice is hereby given that the Board of Adjustment will conduct a public hearing on Monday, February 6, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. on the fourth floor of City Hall in the City Council Chambers, 200 North Second Street in St. Charles, Missouri for the purpose of giving interested parties and citizens an opportunity to be heard on the following matters:
  • Case No. BOA-2023-01. Address: 2988 Berwick Court (Mike Garrett). Two requests, specifically for an addition: 1.) A request to decrease the required side yard (southeast) setback from seven (7) feet to one-half (0.5) foot as regulated in Section 400.150(E)(5)(b) and 2.) a request to decrease the rear yard (southwest) setback from twenty-five (25) feet to six and one-half (6.5) feet as regulated in Section 400.150(E)(5)(c) of the City of St. Charles Code of Ordinances. The property is currently zoned R-1E Single- Family Residential District (Ward 6).
  • Case No. BOA-2023-02. Address: 725 N. Kingshighway Street (Steve Quigley – Clayton Engineering Company). A request to increase the maximum height of a proposed building from thirty-five (35) feet to thirty-seven (37) feet, specifically to provide a press box for the St. Charles High School football field, as regulated in Section 400.150(E)(7) of the City of St. Charles Code of Ordinances. The property is zoned R-1E Single-Family Residential District (Ward 1).

City Council - February 7, 2023

Notice is hereby given that the City of St .Charles, Missouri will conduct a public hearing before the City Council on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at 7:00 p.m on the fourth floor of City Hall, 200 North Second Street in the City of St. Charles, Missouri for the purpose of giving interested parties and citizens an opportunity to be heard on the following matters:
  • Case No. PDA-2023-02. (Shawn Luesse – T.R. Hughes Homes) An application for an amendment to the adopted Preliminary Development Plan of the Charlestowne Landing development, to allow 420 single-family residential lots in lieu of the previously approved 411 lots. The subject property is a 129.85 (more or less) acre tract of land located on the south side of Highway B and west of Copperfield Court and is zoned PD-MU Planned District – Mixed Use District (Ward 8).
