Reconstruct Boschertown Road with drainage improvements from Hecker Street to Highway B including realignment at Highway B. Existing Boschertown Road is a narrow 2 lane roadway with no shoulders and deteriorated pavement. This project will fully replace the pavement and widen Boschertown Road to a 3 lane roadway with 11’ lanes including a center turn lane and 2 foot wide shoulders with rumble blocks in the shoulders. The project will also extend the existing watermain as a new 12” watermain.
The northern portion of Boschertown Road will be relocated to provide more intersection spacing at Highway B between Boschertown Road and Highway 94. The existing intersection spacing is 200’ and the new intersection spacing will be 750’. The improved intersection spacing will improve traffic flow and allow for more queuing at the Highway B and Highway 94 intersection.
Two-way traffic will need to remain for majority of the construction phases.
The City was successful in 2018 in obtaining 66.67% of the construction costs paid from Federal STP-S and St. Charles County funding applications.
