Elm Point Industrial Traffic Flow Improvement

Project Description
The Elm Point Traffic Improvement Project is intended to relieve overall congestion by installing an additional left-hand turn from eastbound Elm Point Industrial Drive, as well as adding an additional through lane to Northbound Elm. This project will also improve some sidewalks to ADA accessibility. When complete (Fall 2016), this project will improve traffic flow, allowing cars to travel easily through the intersection.

Current Project Activities 
  • Construction began on February 19, 2016 
  • Amcon Municipal Concrete has placed changeable message boards for construction updates
  • The week of February 29, 2016 Amcon removed and replaced half of the approach to McDonald's
  • The week of March 7, 2016 Amcon continued concrete work on Elm Pt. in front of McDonald's
  • Islands complete March 25, 2016
  • Asphalt shoulders completed the week of April 18, 2016
  • A semi-final walk-through occurred on May 23, 2016 with Public Works, MoDOT and the project contractor
