Missouri law prohibits disposing of yard waste in a landfill. Instead, trash haulers take yard waste to designated sites where leaves, grass, and branches decompose naturally. In St. Charles, yard waste is collected once per week. All containers must be accessible and ready for service by 6 a.m. on the assigned service day.
Yard Waste 10-Month Once-Weekly Service
Regular curbside yard waste service is available March 1 through December 31 for an additional year-round fee of $29.55 per quarter. Once-weekly yard waste service cannot be cancelled once in effect for the year. This service includes collection of up to 10 yard waste items per week (any combination of designated 32 gallon cans, 30-gallon paper yard waste bags or properly prepared bundles of yard waste).
The 90-gallon cart counts as two items. Any additional items must be tagged.
During the months of January and February, you may call and schedule a yard waste pick up on your regularly scheduled day, but you must purchase and use the yard waste tags. View the yard waste guidelines online. For all questions, please contact Republic Services.
