Public Information Officer

The Public Information Officer is responsible for representing the office of the Police Chief and the City of St. Charles Police Department:
  • On all public service, other law enforcement agencies, social service, and emergency service agencies
  • On civic and business organizations
  • On numerous community task forces, boards, and committees
The close working relationship between these agencies and organizations allows them to have direct contact with the St. Charles Police Department and the office of the Police Chief. With these partnerships, we work toward the goal of improving our community.

News & Media
The Public Information Officer is also directly responsible for providing information to the news media and the public. The department has a professional, cooperative, working relationship with the media in the St. Louis metro area and throughout the country. The Public Information Officer works in conjunction with the Neighborhood / Business Watch Program and other crime prevention programs.
